Most Torah organisations ask you for a feeling. We can show you the arithmetic, because a stipend is a fixed monthly number and we know exactly what it is.
Per man, per seder, per month
A lomed does not learn “in general”. He commits to a seder — a fixed period of the day, at a fixed time, every day — and the stipend attaches to that seder. Three sedarim a day means three different commitments of a man’s time, so there are three different numbers.

That is the whole ask, stated once, without decoration. When you choose $400 on the donation form, you are paying for a night seder for a month. When you choose $1,800, you are keeping one man in the beis medrash from morning until night for a month.
And if $400 is more than you can give
A morning seder works out at roughly $36 a day. That is a real unit, not a rounding of one — one man, one morning, tomorrow. Small monthly gifts add up to whole sedarim faster than most people expect, and they are the most useful gifts we receive, because they are the ones we can count on when we commit to a man for the year.
The money goes to the lomdim directly
Kollel Ner Naftali funds lomdim directly. Your gift is not granted onward to another organisation that then decides what to do with it, and it does not pass through an intermediary that takes a share on the way. It becomes a stipend.
The only deduction between your card and a man’s stipend is the payment processing fee, and the donation form offers to let you cover that so the full amount arrives. Most donors do.
Who is accountable for it
The Kollel is governed by a Board of Directors, and questions of Torah and of the conduct of the learning sit with our Rabbinical Committee — Rav Yeruchum Shain and Rav Avi Gefner. Both are named on our About page rather than kept vague, which is the least a donor should expect.
Kollel Ner Naftali is a tax-exempt organisation described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, EIN 81-3000775. Every gift is receipted, and the receipt reaches you within a minute of giving. If you ever want to know more about where your particular gift went, write to office@kollelnernaftali.org and ask.
